Capitals Announce 2016-17 Preseason Schedule

ARLINGTON, Va. – The Washington Capitals have released their 2016-17 preseason schedule, senior vice president and general manager Brian MacLellan announced today. The schedule will feature seven games against four opponents and will include three games at Verizon Center.

The Capitals will open their preseason schedule against the Carolina Hurricanes on Sept. 26 at Verizon Center. Washington will travel to Montreal on Sept. 27 then Bridgeport, Conn., to face the Islanders on Oct. 1 before hosting the Blues on Oct. 3. The Capitals will then travel to Kansas City, Mo., to face the Blues on Oct. 5 and Raleigh on Oct. 7 to play the Hurricanes. Washington will conclude its preseason schedule at home against the Islanders on Oct. 9.

The Capitals were 5-0-2 in the preseason in 2015-16 and their all-time preseason record is 157-118-33-12.
