Sunday’s results in Challenger Tour: Andreozzi wins 4th Challenger title after Riba was forced to retire

Argentine Guido Andreozzi has won his second title of the season and 4th overall after just one set in the final against Pere Riba. Andreozzi won the first set 6-0 in just 22 minutes when Riba was forced to retire due to an injury. Spaniard was out from the court for more than 3 months and this was his first tournament after that break. He qualified and won the 4 main draw matches but that semi-final clash with Edoardo Eremin, lasting almost 3 hours, took out all of his strength and he was unable to compete in the title match. He had troubles to move right from the start and his usually solid first serve was pretty much useless. Andreozzi, who had a great tournament overall, lost only 6 points in the first set and after the first set Riba couldn’t play anymore and the match was over.
