Medals and valuable ranking points at stake at EuroBeachVolley Final

Biel / Bienne, Switzerland, May 30, 2016 – The countdown has started: in less than 48 hours, Europe’s beach volleyball elite will step out near the shores of Lake Biel for the CEV Beach Volleyball European Championship Final.
The title is not the only thing at stake, with valuable Olympic qualification ranking points also counting at this week’s tournament.Action will get underway on Wednesday with the first round of pool play and continue through to Sunday. The event will be extensively covered on the CEV website as well as on all CEV social networks while additional information can be found on the organisers’ website www.beacheuro2016.ch. Europe’s premier beach volleyball competition returns to Switzerland for the first time since Basel welcomed the 2002 edition where Germany’s Markus Dieckmann/Jonas Reckermann and Italy’s Daniela Gattelli/Lucilla Perrotta topped the men’s and women’s podium, respectively.
