New adopted format for Club Competitions

During its meeting held on Tuesday, 24 May 2016 in Cairo, Egypt; the CAF Organising Committee for Interclub Competitions ruled on the new format of the CAF Champions League and the CAF Confederation Cup. The two competitions, as announced by CAF President Issa Hayatou at the 38th CAF Ordinary General Assembly in Mexico City, will have 16 clubs at the group stage effective next year.
