Missing Premier League Euro XI

Many of the Premier League’s top players will be in action at Euro 2016 this summer, but who will not be involved in France?
All 24 competing nations have selected their provisional squads for the tournament, which gets underway on June 10.
However, a number of big-name players will not be on show at the Euros after failing to make the cut. Here is an XI of those missing stars at France 2016…
Goalkeeper: Rob Elliot (Republic of Ireland)
The Newcastle United shot-stopper misses the tournament after damaging anterior cruciate ligaments while playing for his country in a friendly with Slovakia in March.
Right-back: Kurt Zouma (France)
The defender will not be competing at this summer’s tournament after suffering a knee ligament injury in Chelsea’s draw with Man Utd in the Premier League in February.
Centre-back: Vincent Kompany (Belgium)
Belgium’s captain will take no part at Euro 2016 as a result of a serious thigh problem sustained in Man City’s Champions League semi-final second-leg loss at Real Madrid in May, an injury that will see the central defender sidelined for four months.
Centre-back: Dejan Lovren (Croatia)
