Andy Murray: ‘On clay, players should decide when a match has to be suspended’

Andy Murray reached the French Open quarter-finals by beating John Isner 7-6 6-4 6-3. Speaking about the match, Murray said, ‘Obviously the first set was key. I didn’t have any chances, really, in the first set until the tie-break. I was a bit lucky on the 6-5 point. He had a great serve; I guessed the right way on his approach shot. That point was very important, for sure. And then after that I was starting to create a lot more chances on the return games.’
The match was suspended for an hour, because of the rain, but Murray had asked to stop play a few points before. ‘When you’re returning his serve you have to be very explosive.
