Manchester United Transfer News: Latest Rumours After Jose Mourinho’s Arrival

Manchester United target Romelu Lukaku is reportedly ready to leave Everton, but the Red Devils could face competition for his signature from Juventus, who are considering him as a replacement for Alvaro Morata.
According to Italian outlet Tuttosport (h/t the Daily Star’s James Walters), Lukaku, Christian Benteke and Marseille’s Michy Batshuayi are all being considered by the Bianconeri if Morata leaves this summer, and the Toffees striker has his “suitcases in hand.”
Further, United boss Jose Mourinho is “likely to be on red alert” about the Belgian’s situation, as he is among his reported targets.
Per the Daily Star’s Tim Gray, Lukaku confirmed he is targeting a move away from Goodison Park in search of silverware.
“I’m at a point where I have to make a good career choice,” he said. “We have a new investor at Everton, and out of courtesy I will listen to what he has to say. But I have my own ideas in mind. I want to win titles. I have had a very good season, but it is time for me to write myself a CV.”
Understandably, Everton fans appear not to have taken his comments lightly, per the Mirror’s David Anderson:
