TORONTO — Xander Bogaerts extended his career-long hitting streak to 22 games with a single to left in the sixth inning of the Red Sox’s 5-3 win over the Blue Jays on Sunday afternoon.
The shortstop has the longest active streak in the Majors and second best this season after teammate Jackie Bradley Jr., who had a 29-game streak snapped on Thursday against the Rockies.
