Mariners bring back Kivlehan from Texas

SEATTLE — The Mariners reacquired Minor League infielder Patrick Kivlehan from the Rangers on Sunday in a trade for a player to be named or cash. Right-hander Evan Scribner was transferred to the 60-day disabled list to make room on the 40-man roster.
The 26-year-old Kivlehan was drafted by Seattle in the fourth round in 2012 and spent four Minor League seasons with the Mariners. He was dealt to Texas last November in a five-player swap that brought Leonys Martin and reliever Anthony Bass to the Mariners in exchange for Tom Wilhelmsen, James Jones and Kivlehan.
