Bogaerts’ hitting streak extended to 22 games

TORONTO — Xander Bogaerts extended his career-long hitting streak to 22 games with a single to left in the sixth inning on Sunday afternoon against the Blue Jays.

The shortstop has the longest active streak in the Majors and second best this season after teammate Jackie Bradley Jr., who had a 29-game streak snapped on Thursday against the Rockies.
