Astros see ‘old Dallas’ deal with Cy stuff

ANAHEIM — The Astros had been waiting, with patience but not panic, for ace left-hander Dallas Keuchel to once again resemble his 2015 Cy Young form.
They were rewarded Saturday night at Angel Stadium, where Keuchel retired the final 18 hitters he faced in a 4-2 Astros victory to earn his first win since April 15.
“I don’t know about relief,” manager A.J. Hinch said of his feelings, after Keuchel went seven three-hit innings to halt his five-decision losing streak. “I’ve never lost faith in Dallas.
“He’s been mechanically one step away from rolling off one like this.”
Relievers Pat Neshek, Tony Sipp and Luke Gregerson combined to finish the Angels in order in the eighth and ninth, as Houston won for just the second time in Keuchel’s past eight starts.
Neshek’s perfect two-batter outing meant he’s retired 33 of the 35 right-handed hitters faced this season, holding them to an AL-low .057 average.
