CHICAGO — The countdown is over. David Ross hit his 100th career home run on Friday.
Cubs players have been counting each one of Ross’ homers as he inched closer to No. 100 in his final season. The veteran catcher has announced he will retire at the end of the year, which is his 15th season in the big leagues.
