Zaitsev named to Team Russia for 2016 World Cup

The final roster for Team Russia at the 2016 World Cup of Hockey was announced on Friday. Included on the final list of names was the newest addition to the Leafs, Nikita Zaitsev.
Zaitsev has been a staple for the Russian national team since 2008 when he played in the World U-18 Championships. Since then he has appeared for Russia at the World Juniors, the Euro Hockey Tour and multiple World Championships. He represented Russia at the 2016 World Championships, capturing a bronze medal and earning a place on the World Championship All-Star Team. This will be his first World Cup. …
