Giarnni takes gold and Joe bags bronze at European Championships

17 year old Giarnni Regini-Moran has conquered European after being crowned the 2016 junior European all-around champion in Bern (SUI). Giarnni showed exactly why he is being tipped for senior stardom with an outstanding display across the six apparatus to comfortably take the title with a score of 86.198 points.
Joe Fraser joined Giarnni on the medal podium with a fine display characterised by high skill and a great determination to succeed as proven by his pressure routine on the final apparatus, the high bar, which secured the bronze medal with 83.764 points.
Giarnni was delighted to have won the title saying: “Last up on high bar the final routine there was a bit of pressure so I was so happy to nail that routine and take the gold and it shows that my hard work has paid off. I know vault and floor are my biggest pieces and opportunities to gain an edge so that was important to do that. I don’t know what the future will bring, I still have finals this Sunday and then we will start to think about my senior career. Nothings impossible in terms of the Olympics, I’ll keep doing my best and see what happens.”
