Pearson appointed Derby boss

Nigel Pearson has agreed to become Derby County’s new manager on a three-year deal, with former Rams player Chris Powell as his assistant.
The 52-year-old Pearson has spent a season out of the game having been sacked by Leicester last summer, despite keeping them in the Premier League at the end of the 2014-15 season.
Derby sacked Paul Clement in February, having only appointed him last summer, and gave former Rams player Darren Wassall the chance to step up from academy director to interim head coach.
