Rats Roundup: Panthers Month & More

Congratulations, you made it all the way to Friday! Reward yourself with a quick little break to read this week’s Rats Roundup.
The biggest news from this week is Wednesday night’s trade, so let’s dive right into that. The Panthers acquired forward Jared McCann, along with second and fourth-round picks this year, in exchange for Erik Gudbranson and a fifth-round pick.
McCann gives the Panthers another exciting young option at forward over the next few years. He’s got a reputation as a skilled playmaker with an advanced two-way game and great hockey instincts. And he made an impact with Vancouver this season at just 19 years old, so he should continue to grow.
Our own Jameson Olive sat down with McCann after the trade was announced for a Q&A covering everything from his transition from Canada to South Florida to what he’s going to ask Jaromir Jagr.
