Pedroia, Bogaerts, Hanigan exit game early

BOSTON — The Red Sox lost both members of their double-play combination during Wednesday night’s 10-3 win over the Rockies. But manager John Farrell is confident second baseman Dustin Pedroia (right hamstring tightness) and shortstop Xander Bogaerts (sore right thumb) will both be back for Thursday’s series finale.
Pedroia left as a precaution after belting a double off the Green Monster in the fifth. He first felt something in the hamstring after grounding out in the third, and the trainers helped him stretch it out.
But Farrell pulled the plug on his night after seeing Pedroia moving at less than full speed on his double.
