Skaggs set for sim game after 3rd ‘pen session

ARLINGTON — Tyler Skaggs, a little more than a month removed from appearing in a game because of a brief bout with biceps tendinitis, is throwing off a mound again.

The 24-year-old left-hander completed his third bullpen session on Wednesday, and he is getting set to pitch in a simulated game in Arizona on Saturday and said via text that his arm “feels great, with no restrictions.”

The Angels can suddenly look forward to some much-needed starting-pitching depth.
