Rangers to be proactive in giving Yu extra rest

ARLINGTON — Yu Darvish’s first start for the Rangers will be on five days rest rather than his normal four. It could be a semi-regular occurrence.
Manager Jeff Banister said the Rangers will look for opportunities to give Darvish extra rest during his comeback from Tommy John surgery.
Darvish made his last rehab start on Sunday for Double-A Frisco, throwing 87 pitches. He …
