Junior men claim fifth straight European title

Great Britain’s junior men’s team secured the 2016 artistic gymnastics European team gold to keep up a remarkable run, making it five in a row and once again proving the incredible depth of talent in the country. Giarnni Regini-Moran, Joshua Nathan, Jamie Lewis, Joe Fraser and Donnell Osbourne held their nerve against tough opposition from Russia to seal the title on the final apparatusGiarnni Regini-Moran led the way with an outstanding all-around performance, the best of the competition scoring him 85.964 but more importantly helping the GB team to a total of 253.436 points and the team gold. Russia placed in silver with 252.061 and Switzerland, cheered all the way by a very vocal home crowd in Bern scored 249.959 to take the bronze.The British team were confident going in to the championships and despite having to replace Hamish Carter due to injury; they took to the arena with the aim to win the gold.
