While Conor McGregor and Ronda Rousey have proved to be power players in the Zuffa machine, the UFC recently reminded us that no one athlete is bigger than the company.
McGregor, who is the most talked about fighter in the sport, was recently pulled from the blockbuster UFC 200 pay-per-view for refusing to attend a Las Vegas press conference. The featherweight champion thought he was within his rights to skip media obligations due to his star power, but the UFC swiftly reminded McGregor that Dana White and co. are calling the shots.
