Match Preview
Ecuador will present the U.S. men’s national soccer team with a difficult hurdle to jump over Wednesday as the Copa America hosts tune up to present the tournament.
The Stars and Stripes do not hold a good record against the powerful and quick Ecuadorian unit, currently holding a record of 2-5-5, according to U.S. Soccer’s official website.
However, the Americans have only been defeated once when playing at the Toyota Stadium, dating back 10 years, per U.S. Soccer.
The two teams met in a friendly in the United States in 2014, playing out a 1-1 draw after strikes from Mix Diskerud (USA) and West Ham United’s Enner Valencia (Ecuador).
