ATLANTA — After dealing with Julio Teheran’s impressive effort at Turner Field on Tuesday night, the Brewers snapped a three-game losing streak courtesy of Scooter Gennett’s two-out single, which proved decisive in a 2-1 win over the Braves, who have now lost 18 of their first 20 home games.
Gennett’s game-winning single off Braves setup man Bud Norris scored Jonathan Villar, who drew a two-out walk and then stole second base in the eighth inning. The two-out rally preserved the strong start by Jimmy Nelson, who allowed one run and recorded eight strikeouts over six innings.
