Maddon confident Rizzo will get through funk

ST. LOUIS — Anthony Rizzo is among the National League leaders in RBIs and home runs, but he’s been in a funk during the Cubs’ current road trip.
“He’s probably trying to do too much, no question,” manager Joe Maddon said of Rizzo, who entered Tuesday’s game 2-for-27 in the last seven games. “Regardless of how much you tell him not to do it, he’ll still do that. It’s just the nature of guys like him.
