Portman: Don’t thump Icky!

A review of Tuesday’s action at Wolverhampton where Ickymasho made all for trainer Jonathan Portman.
Jonathan Portman hopes the handicapper is not too harsh on Ickymasho after the filly made all to win at Wolverhampton.
The Upper Lambourn trainer was delighted with her performance and would like to run her in a similar event, if the assessor allows.
George Baker was always in control on the 11/4 favourite in the Family Fun Day Monday 8th August Fillies’ Handicap.
Her rivals could not get near the four-year-old in the straight, as she ran out a cosy winner by three and a quarter lengths from Hope You Dance to land her second success over this mile and a half.
“George gave her a confident ride and she won a bit too well in the end,” said Portman.
