A-Rod set to make rehab stop in Double-A

NEW YORK — The Yankees have announced that designated hitter Alex Rodriguez will make a rehab stop in Trenton with the Double-A Thunder on Tuesday night.
Yankees manager Joe Girardi had originally said that Rodriguez would not go on a minor league rehab because the team did not want to “waste” his at-bats and that he would return to the Yankees’ lineup on Tuesday against the Toronto Blue Jays.
