Volleyroos claim NZ win as preparation for World Grand Prix continues

Victoria, Australia, May 24, 2016 – The Australian women’s volleyball team claimed a second win over New Zealand in Moe, Victoria on Tuesday, sweeping them in straight sets (25-15, 25-21, 25-17) as they continue preparations for next week’s FIVB Volleyball World Grand Prix 2016 clash against Croatia, Cuba and Colombia in Bendigo.
The side will compete in Group 2 this year and coach Shannon Winzer says her side’s new structure means they fancy their chances at promotion to Group 2
“We’re really trying to push an aggressive style of play, and these matches allow us time to find that balance between just how aggressive we can be, and when,” the Volleyroos coach said.
