Caroline Garcia’s appetite yearns for more titles after winning Strasbourg

The year a player turns pro is filled with lots of excitement, emotions and thoughts of entering a new world of professional tennis. Caroline Garcia had jumpstarted her pro year in 2011 with debuts into the WTA and entry into the Australian Open, two accomplishments players all over hope to achieve. She felt great to win her opening round with a victory over Varvara Lepchenko and then months later made good use of her wild card entry into the French Open by winning her first round there among the backdrop of the glorious Eiffel Tower. It was a few years later when she stepped onto the court of the 2014 Sony Open and the palms of her hands were almost too sweaty to hold the racket that she won a first set over the iconic player, Serena Williams.
