Gordon lands on DL with fractured right wrist

MINNEAPOLIS — Royals outfielder Alex Gordon was placed on the 15-day disabled list with a fractured scaphoid bone and a sprain in his right wrist, and the club recalled infielder Cheslor Cuthbert before Monday’s game against the Twins.
Royals manager Ned Yost said that Gordon will be re-evaluated in 10 days, but the expected shelf time is believed to be about 3-4 weeks.
Gordon suffered the injury when he collided with third baseman Mike Moustakas in foul territory chasing a popup during Sunday’s 3-2 loss to the White Sox.
