Wilshere happier in the middle

Jack Wilshere says he is much happier playing in central midfield for England than in the wide role Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger favours for him.
Wilshere played 65 minutes of England’s 2-1 win over Turkey on Sunday after only making one start for the Gunners all season, one that was wrecked by a broken leg he suffered in pre-season.
Although he was short of his top form, Wilshere has often received praise from Hodgson and appears set to be named in the manager’s 23-man squad for Euro 2016 when it is confirmed at the end of the month.
And Wilshere is thankful that Hodgson played him in a central role at the Etihad Stadium, issuing a heavy hint that he is not happy playing wider out for his club.
