Tobias Garp and Sebastian Sikorski Win Big in 888poker Super XL Series

While the biggest online tournament festival thus far this year wraps up on PokerStars, also running was a big series at the world’s second largest online poker room, 888poker. That event is the exciting fifth edition of the Super XL Series.
The latest installment features 40 action-packed tournaments from May 14-22 with $3 million in guaranteed prize pools. This represents two more events than the 38 tournaments the series had a few months ago, along with $1 million more in combined guaranteed prize pools.
Here is a look at some of the bigger winners of the festival:
Sweden’s Tobias “bale_11” Garp was the first player to make huge waves in poker festival by outlasting a field of 911 players to pony up the $88 buy-in in the Super XL 1 — $88,888 Crazy 8 Super XL Kickoff on May 14 to claim the top prize of $22,984. The tournament was themed around the 2016 World Series of Poker Event #54: $888 Crazy Eights by showcasing the exact same structure.
