Are the British ladies of tennis in a slump or just plain knackered?

Johanna Konta, ranked number one Brit lady had started off the 2016 season with a semifinal round at the Australian Open and then the Miami Open she reached the quarters. The other lady Brits kept up with her as number two ranked Heather Watson also proved herself to the quarters then losing but Naomi Broady made it only to the first round of the Miami sun, as well as number four, Laura Robson. She’s been always toughing it out with a history of wrist ailments seen a first round there and then was sent packing by Victoria Azarenka. Monterrey proved a bit better for the ladies possibly because they had shed their beginning tour jitters and became grounded into touring. Johanna held tight to make it to the quarters at the Monterrey as did Broady. But for Laura, Monterrey was a no brainer or should it be said a no show because of her chronic wrist issues and she wanted to take a longer rest to assure of success in tournaments ahead. Heather was the only Brit lady to come out on top as she won the Mexico Open, her third title of her career.
