Tigers slugger Miguel Cabrera exited Sunday’s series finale against the Rays in the seventh inning after being hit on the lower left leg with a pitch to lead off the inning. Cabrera initially went to first base, but he was lifted for pinch-runner Jose Iglesias while Victor Martinez was batting. Detroit was leading, 6-4.
Tigers starter Jordan Zimmermann exited the game with a right groin strain with two outs in the sixth.
