Zimmermann exits in 6th with groin strain

DETROI — Jordan Zimmermann, whose strong start in his first season as a Tiger has helped stabilize an otherwise inconsistent rotation, left Sunday’s start against the Rays with a right groin strain suffered in the sixth inning. Detroit was leading, 6-2.
