Orlando, Dyson combo working in RF

CHICAGO — Paulo Orlando is on a tear. Jarrod Dyson is coming on, too.
And for now, the Royals’ right-field platoon seems to be right where manager Ned Yost wants it.
“We just manage it day to day,” Yost said. “You look at it, Paulo and Dyson both can handle right-handed or left-handed pitching. You just make it work.”
Orlando entered Sunday with 10 hits in his past 18 at-bats, including four extra-base hits over his past five games. For the season, he is slashing .368/.390/.509. After going 3-for-4 Friday against the White Sox, he mentioned work in the cage and batting practice paying off.
“I feel more focused,” Orlando said. “My timing is back.”
Despite the idea of Orlando emerging to be become the primary right fielder, don’t forget about Dyson just yet. Dyson matched a career high with three hits Saturday, and he has hits in each of his past three games. His season numbers of .250/.296/.329 don’t compare to Orlando’s, but Dyson brings …
