Olympic champion and now European champion for the first time: Ranomi Kromowidjojo, the Dutch ace who will defend her crown in Rio in August, blasted a 24.07sec for victory.
Silver went to the defending champion Fran Halsall (GBR) in 24.44, the bronze to Jeanette Ottesen (DEN) in 24.61, Anna Santamans (FRA) locked out in 24.81 as the last inside 25.
Kromowidjojo followed up her silver in the 100m with the words “I hate to lose … Rio will be a different race.”
