Marlins hold out Yelich because of back spasms

MIAMI — Miami Marlins left fielder Christian Yelich has been scratched from the lineup before Saturday’s game against Washington because of back spasms.
His status is day to day, the team said.
Yelich spent stints on the disabled list in both 2014 and 2015 because of back trouble and was sidelined for no more than the 15 days each time.
He began the weekend batting .320 with a .420 on-base percentage and a .524 slugging percentage.
