Wright sends Mets to first walk-off win of 2016

NEW YORK — David Wright’s difficult season swung dramatically upward Saturday, when he hit a walk-off RBI single to lead the Mets to a 5-4 win over the Brewers at Citi Field. After Yoenis Cespedes hit a game-tying two-run homer in the sixth inning, Wright drilled a 3-0 Michael Blazek fastball into right-center field with the bases loaded and one out to win it in the ninth. It was the Mets’ first walk-off victory since Wilmer Flores hit a game-winning homer last July 31.
Earlier in the game, mired in a slump, Wright had drawn a smattering of boos from the Citi Field crowd.
Though starting pitchers Jacob deGrom and Zach Davies combined to strike out a dozen batters in 10 1/3 innings, they also allowed three home runs. Ramon Flores’ first …
