AT&T Byron Nelson 2016: Saturday Leaderboard Scores and Highlights
- Updated: May 21, 2016
Brooks Koepka’s hot streak at the 2016 AT&T Byron Nelson continued Saturday, as the Florida native fired a 65 for a 54-hole score of 16-under par and two-shot lead over Jordan Spieth heading into the final round.
Koepka began the third round in a tie for second place with Spieth, Bud Cauley and Sergio Garcia. Cauley, Garcia and Matt Kuchar ended the day tied for third place at 13 under. Ben Crane, who held the 36-hole lead, fell off the pace with a two-over 72 that dropped his score to 10 under par.
Here’s the full leaderboard with 18 holes left to play at the AT&T Byron Nelson tournament:
Spieth has been rolling all weekend, posting his lowest 36-hole total (129) on the PGA Tour, but he’s yet to find himself atop the leaderboard for all of his efforts.
Garcia, Danny Lee and Johnson Wagner all opened one shot better than Spieth with 63s in the first round, and his 65 on Friday was only good enough to tie for the eighth-best score of the second round.
Saturday saw Spieth continue to do what he’s done so well already this tournament. He hit 81.5 percent of greens in regulation and gained 2.03 shots with his putter. He was building momentum with this birdie on No. 9, via the PGA Tour:

Despite the mistake, the fact that he was able to hit a drive into water, give up a stroke and lose only one shot drew rave reviews from analysts such as Brad …
