2016 NCAA Division II Women’s Championship: Seasiders keeps the perfect score and tames the Lions to reach the final

BYU-Hawaii Seasiders remains undefeated this season (25-0) after ousting Saint Leo Lions 5-3 at Gates Tennis Center in Denver. Thus, the Seasiders will play in the final of NCAA Division II Women’s Championship, as they proved to be too strong for the Lions in the battle of two best-ranked schools. BYU-Hawaii will now face Armstrong in the championship match, trying to end the season with the title and also with perfect score. The Seasiders started with two quick doubles point to gain the momentum that carried them throughout the match. On court 2, Karen Liu/Shu-Ying Hsieh took down Natalia Siedliska/Coralie Pesenti by 8-4 after a strong finish, and they were soon backed by Summer Wen/Dallas Zhang who ousted Anastasia Wagner/Isabella Robbiani 8-3 on the main court to give the Seasider 2-0 lead. The Lions had to do something and as fast as possible, and they started by taking the last doubles point on court 3, when Marine Beugre-Guyot/Pauline Helgesson prevailed over Jade Griffin/Kanela Adamson 8-6.
