E-Rod close to resuming rehab assignment

BOSTON — Red Sox left-hander Eduardo Rodriguez had a strong work session before Saturday’s game against the Indians and should be able to resume his Minor League rehab assignment with Triple-A Pawtucket on Tuesday.
This was decidedly good news for the Red Sox and Rodriguez, considering the news a few days ago of Rodriguez being recalled from his rehab assignment due to recurring soreness in his right knee.
The key was Rodriguez finding a brace he was comfortable with.
