Nibras team seek Coventry bounty

A review of the rest of Saturday’s action at Newmarket as Nibras Bounty teed up a tilt at next month’s Coventry Stakes.
After guiding Richard Hannon’s Steel Of Madrid to victory in Newmarket’s feature Fairway Stakes, Tom Queally completed his own double on the day after also partnering to success the Hannon-trained Nibras Bounty (8/1) in the Andrew Fleet EBF Stallions Novice Stakes.
The jockey, who enjoyed a famous association with the mighty Frankel, added: “It is a case of making the most of every bit of ammunition that you get – and making sure you shoot at the target.”
Nibras Bounty could be Coventry Stakes-bound after getting the better of Evergate by a length and a quarter.
Also under consideration for Royal Ascot is Chelsea Lad after a less than straightforward passage to victory in the Westmere Farms Handicap.
Indeed, Jockey Fergus Sweeney was handed a three-day ban (June 4-6 inclusive) for careless riding aboard the 5/2 winner.
