The truth behind Chargers drafting Joey Bosa

Good morning.
Ricky Henne of Chargers.com takes us behind the curtain of one of the mysteries of this year’s draft — how the San Diego Chargers kept their desires to draft Ohio State product Joey Bosa a secret up until draft day.
The piece is an oral history told from the perspective of folks inside the organization such as president of football operations John Spanos and general manager Tom Telesco, along with Bosa’s take of what he believed was happening in the lead-up to April’s draft.
There are some great nuggets of information here, from Bosa’s dinner with the Chargers before his pro day workout, to Telesco watching Ohio State at the Fiesta Bowl and determining then that Bosa was his guy if he fell to No. 3.
Spanos and Telesco also discuss the speculation just before the draft that the Chargers possibly could select Ronnie Stanley at No. 3.
