Russian Tennis Chief now backtracks over Maria Sharapova statement

Maria Sharapova is yet to find a verdict on her doping case as the former World No 1 appeared in front of a committee decided by the ITF. The committee is expected to announce the result of their findings sometime in June. However, things did not look so good for the 29 year old as the Russian Tennis Federation’s chief, Shamil Tarpischev had reportedly claimed that Sharapova’s career maybe over.
