UFC Vegas free fight video: Thomas Almeida’s flying knee KO vs. Brad Pickett

UFC 189 will go down as one of the greatest, most exciting main cards in the history of the sport. McGregor rallied to beat Mendes, Lawler rallied to beat MacDonald, Stephens KO’d Bermudez, Gunni Nelson dropped and choked out Thatch, but the July 11th, 2015 pay-per-view kicked off with a bantamweight war between Thomas Almeida and Brad Pickett.
Everyone remembers Almeida’s flying knee KO finish, which made him the first man to stop Pickett with strikes since 2005, but the entire fight was just completely bonkers. Almeida was dropped twice by the Englishman, but answered back by dropping Pickett with an elbow. They traded big shots and basically fought a three-round fight in just 5 minutes. Then Almeida uncorked the fight-ending flying knee, which set the tone for a memorable night of fights. You can watch the video …
