French Open 2016: Draw Results, Seedings for Men’s and Women’s Brackets

World No. 1 Novak Djokovic has been drawn against Taiwan’s Yen-Hsun Lu in the first round of the men’s draw at the 2016 French Open, and he could meet Rafael Nadal in the semi-finals after the pair were put in the same half.
Women’s top seed Serena Williams starts her defence against Slovakia’s Magdalena Rybarikova, while Nadal will face world No. 95 Sam Groth as he begins his campaign for a 10th Roland Garros title.
In-form second seed Andy Murray will play a qualifier in the first round as he goes in search of a third Grand Slam title, and Stan Wawrinka will start his defence against Lukas Rosol having beaten Djokovic in last year’s final in Paris.

The tournament gets under way on Sunday, but there will be no Roger Federer after he was forced to withdraw through injury, per the New York Times’ Ben Rothenberg:
