Matt Harvey rocked by Nationals as 2016 woes continue

NEW YORK — The first time Matt Harvey and Stephen Strasburg matched up in their careers, back in April 2013 as the Dark Knight was bursting onto the scene, New York Mets fans gleefully chanted “HARVEY’S BETTER! HARVEY’S BETTER!”

In their first matchup at Citi Field since that faceoff, the Queens faithful booed Harvey off the mound Thursday.
Harvey allowed a career-high nine runs (six earned) on eight hits and two walks to the Washington Nationals and lasted only 2⅔ innings in the shortest start of his career. His ERA soared to 5.77 as he continues to search for answers to his woeful start to 2016.
