Rutgers has settled a three-year-old lawsuit stemming from former coach Mike Rice’s mistreatment of players, multiple media outlets have reported.
Derrick Randall will be paid $300,000, the reports said. Randall’s lawsuit had claimed he suffered from learning disabilities and experienced physical and emotional trauma from Rice’s behavior. Randall left Rutgers in 2013.
Randall played for Rutgers from 2011-13 in a bench role. The 6-foot-9, 240-pound forward then played two seasons at Pittsburgh.
