Scouting Miami QB Brad Kaaya, ACC’s ‘best pure passer’

There’s a large portion of NFL and college football fans unfamiliar with Miami quarterback Brad Kaaya.
Over the last few weeks as early 2017 draft rankings and mock drafts have been released, it’s evident the junior signal caller is a name much of the country ought to get acquainted with in the coming months.
Todd McShay projects Kaaya to go No. 2 overall if the San Francisco 49ers hold the selection. Mel Kiper Jr. places Kaaya No. 13 on his Way-Too-Early Big Board and as the No. 2 quarterback overall in the draft class.
Kaaya recently told Andrea Adelson he hasn’t looked at himself as a future top pick yet, but that has not stopped the recent landslide of opinions across social media on Kaaya’s NFL credentials. A 13-12 career record has colored some evaluations of Kaaya, despite Jared Goff and his 14-23 starting record going No. 1 last month.
