Uriah Hall: ‘Smart move’ for Rockhold to pick weaker opponent in Bisping

It wasn’t meant to be for Uriah Hall. Despite coming off a loss, the Jamaican-born fighter felt he was the perfect candidate to challenge Luke Rockhold for the middleweight title at UFC 199.
Weidman was originally set to rematch Rockhold in the main event but was forced out of the bout with a neck injury. Hall, along with Gegard Mousasi and Yoel Romero campaigned to replace ‘All-American’ on Twitter, but the UFC selected Michael Bisping as the man for the job.
